This little guy is sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! Anybody who has a baby can understand what a huge step this is. I woke up last night and went to see if he was breathing because I couldn't believe I hadn't heard him. He's growing so much, and he's lots of fun. Can't believe he's 3 months old. He is cooing and smiling, and he recognizes me and Brad. It's great.

We're heading to the beach this weekend to see the Lauren and Jeff get hitched- she's going to be a beautiful bride!

around the Jones house..

Not too much has been going on lately. Brad and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Meridian of not doing a whole lot. We visited a new church on Sunday and ate lunch with our neighbors- she is SUCH a good cook, and Brad never gets meals like that at home! :)

Brody has had a little cold/allergies, so he's congested and not sleeping well. The only way he'll sleep for very long is laying on me or Brad- I know it's NOT good, but he's got to get some sleep and get better soon.

I can't believe he's almost 10 weeks old already! He's growing so much, and I think he's about 11 pounds or so now. I've got to get some pictures off the camera, and I'll post them soon.

We've got lots of busy weekends coming up, and I'm excited. Here's a rundown...

May 10 weekend- Starkville for a baby shower and Mother's Day (Brody is getting dedicated at First Baptist on Sunday!)
May 17- Starkville for Polk's last home ballgame luncheon and presentation on the field (Brad goes out there I think)
May 20 week- we're going to Birmingham all week. Brad has meetings for work. I'm heading to Atlanta to see Dani for a few days in there too.
May 31- Orange Beach to the condo for a few nights and to the Miles-Butts wedding on Saturday!!!

June 21- Davis- Abraham wedding in Tupelo!!!
June 23rd week- Orange Beach for family vacation
June 28 weekend through July 4 weekend- driving from the beach to Houston, TX to visit Brad's family. Then he and I are leaving Brody with Dee Di and Coach (Brad's parents) and heading to San Antonio for our anniversary trip. Brad has been dying to take me to the Schlitterbahn- a GIGANTIC waterpark!

On another note, we are CONSIDERING looking for a home for Moose. I know, it's really sad and we hate it. But Brad and I just feel like he's not getting all the attention and love he deserves. Having a new baby around changes life completely! If anyone knows someone who might be interested, please let us know.

mom advice needed...

I just finished reading this book called Moms on Call Guide to Basic Baby Care. I like books that are written by people who know what they're talking about, and I liked this one because it was written by 2 pediatric nurses who have 8 kids between them including 2 sets of twins. It was so easy to read and was full of good information- I recommend it to anyone who is a first time mom. Part of the book talks about getting baby on a "schedule". I have found there are SO MANY mixed opinions about how structured/not structured you should be and by what age, etc. I have been asking any moms I can what THEY did and am just trying to figure out something that will work for us. Anyway- I'm writing this post to ask anyone who's a mom if they would email me at brodysmom08@yahoo.com and let me know the "daily schedule" that worked for them. Any advice will be appreciated!
