So in all the craziness of moving and having a baby, we never got a chance to put up pictures of our house in Meridian. We put an offer on it the day after it went on the market, and we love it! It has turned out to be exactly what we needed. First are some pictures of things we've updated on it, then there are just some pictures from inside the house.


PROJECT #1: shutters

We decided we wanted new shutters to give the outside of our house a little facelift. Dad had some real wood shutters made for us, and I got outside in the 100 degree heat and painted them! The original shutters and door were a green color, and we picked a dark mocha. Last week a handyman came and hung them, and here is the finished product! We love the way they turned out!

PROJECT #2: bathrooms- paint, countertops, sinks, and faucets
This had some lovely yellowish swirly marble countertops- no offense to anyone who has them, but they HAD to go. :)

And last but not least, my favorite...A REAL FIREPLACE!!! Brad better make us some good-smelling fires this winter!

sitting up!...well almost

Brody is working on sitting up. He's growing and changing so fast!

Saturday night a GREAT babysitter came to town (Aunt Shelby!) so we could go to a cookout with about 8 other couples. It was a blast, and Brody was on his best behavior while we were gone. We took a picture before we left the house, and I don't remember the last time we've had a picture together of just us! As much as we LOVE our little man, it was nice to hangout with friends for the night!

Brody loves sitting in his Bumbo lately. I got home from working at the hospital the other night and asked Brad, "What have you and Brody been doing?" He said, "Oh just watching a little baseball..." Then he brought the camera to me. This is what I found...

Ha!!! He had him sitting in front of the tv watching baseball holding the little bat my parents brought him back from San Francisco! Happy Friday everybody!!!

Have yall missed me?!!!

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted, but things have been crazy around our house. With our 2 week vacation, then returning home to a BAD stomach virus, we haven't had much time to do anything. But I want everyone to see how much our little man is changing!!!

He is SO FUN. Lately:
-he's made the change from hating the bath (screaming at the top of his lungs) to LOVING it (he gets in, smiles, then pees in his fresh water...EVERYTIME) Brad and I can't help but laugh though :)
-he WAKES UP smiling. He is such a happy kid. He literally opens his eyes, realizes it's the morning and GRINS until he gets his bottle. It's so sweet.
-he drools ALOT (see outfit below)-he's rolling over
-he loves sweet potatoes, squash, and carrots (don't have a picture, but I'll have to post one soon because it's funny how his face is covered in them by the end)
-Brad still thinks it's funny to put things on his head. The other night it was a diaper.





















-he holds stuffed animals when he sleeps. It's adorable. I put him in our bed the other morning, and I had to get a picture. It was sweet.That's about it for now. I'll try to do better on updating, but I can't promise. Things are about to get really busy. I've started my part-time job at the hospital and school starts in a few weeks. Hope everyone is enjoying their HOT summer!
